Dangerous video prank raises concerns from police

Jennings County officials are warning about a dangerous new prank inspired by TikTok videos.

According to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, juveniles are being encouraged to arm themselves with air-soft guns which fire plastic pellets, and to kick in the door of a home as a prank. If they can get the door open, they will then fire pellets into the home. If the homeowner comes outside, they will fire the pellets at the resident. They will then run away.

Deputies say that they were called to such an incident in the county early Saturday morning. All of those who took part have been identified.

Authorities warn that this prank presents an extreme danger to everyone involved. They are urging parents to talk to their children about the dangers involved.
