Madison man accused of child molesting after Jennings investigation

Jennings County detectives have arrested a Madison man after an investigation into the sexual abuse of a 12-year-old.

According to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, detectives were contacted by a family member of the child, who said that the child had been sexually abused by a family friend. The investigation led to 21-year-old Kameron Scroggin Madison. He was arrested on Friday on a warrant from Jennings Circuit Court.

Police say that Scroggin admitted to the abuse during an interview.

Scroggin is being held in the Jennings County Jail on felony charges of child molesting and sexual misconduct with a minor.
