Jennings deputies recognized for drug-related arrests

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Department is praising the recent work of several deputies in fighting illegal drugs in the community.

According to the department, four deputies have been going above and beyond in their work over the past two weeks.

Deputy Max Marcoux and his police dog partner Creed have made five felony drug related arrest seizing nearly 20 Grams of methamphetamine and Deputy Blake Maynard made six drug related felony arrests, seized nearly 45 grams of methamphetamine while
Deputy Owen Miller made four felony drug-related arrests.

School resource officer Deputy Matt Miller recognized a parent making a pickup from the school and recognized that the parent was driving without a license. Miller stopped that parent for a driving related arrest, but the parent also was found to have possession of methamphetamine on school property and was arrested.
