Travel advisories declared; schools closing after snow

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. this morning with up to another inch of snow expected.

Emergency officials in Bartholomew, Brown, Jackson and Jennings counties have all declared yellow travel advisories. That is the lowest level of travel restrictions, and means that routine travel could be hazardous in some locations.

If you have to be out and about this morning you can expect roads to be slippery. Emergency officials say you should make sure to slow down, leave extra distance between you and vehicles in front of you and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.

This weekend the weather is expected to turn bitterly cold with lows at or below zero and windchills as low as 20 below.
