Elizabethtown man accused of brandishing gun in store parking lot

An Elizabethtown man has been arrested accused of pointing a gun at a woman in a store parking lot in Columbus.
According to the Columbus Police Department, officers were called to the Whitfield Drive Walmart at 10:54 a.m. Thursday. Witnesses said that a man driving a Jeep pickup truck drove by, opened his door and pointed a gun at the victim. That came after she drove past the truck and police say that the two vehicles came close to colliding. After the incident, the suspect then left the scene, but a witness provided the license plate for the vehicle.
Police found the vehicle near U.S. 31 and County Road 100S and after a high-risk traffic stop, the driver, 44-year-old Tadd Martin was taken into custody. A search found a revolver inside the vehicle.
Martin is facing felony charges of pointing a firearm and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
