Arrest made in threats against Johnson County school

An arrest has been made this morning of a man accused of threatening Center Grove High School.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, authorities worked through the night to arrest 18 year old Adrian Abundio-Valente of Indianapolis after the threats were made on social media.

A search warrant was served early this morning at his Indianapolis home by Indiana State Police, Indianapolis and Center Grove police and Johnson County deputies. Abundio-Valente is facing a charge of communications of intimidation.

Sheriff Duane Burgess says that anyone who hides behind social media to make threats to schools “will be identified, located, and held accountable. Actions that cause fear especially among students who are simply trying to receive an education are unacceptable and criminal.”
