Slick roads this morning with icy mix of snow, freezing rain

Forecasters say that we could see up to an inch of snow mixed with sleet early today . That could make the roads slippery if you have to be out this morning.

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a winter weather advisory for our area lasting until 9 a.m. this morning. In our area, Bartholomew, Decatur, Jackson, and Jennings counties, as well as Clay, Owen, and Monroe counties all could be affected.

If you have to be out on the road, emergency officials say you should slow down, leave plenty of distance between the vehicles ahead of you and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.
