Columbus City Utilities has added more customers to a boil water advisory in the area of Rocky Ford Road after a water main break yesterday..

The city water company issued a boil water advisory yesterday for Candlelight Village and the Cedar Ridge Subdivision. They have now added.

Embarq Apartments, and some addresses on Holly Way, Ashwood Drive, Grange Court, Holly Court and Rocky Ford Road.

You should bring water to a full boil for three to five minutes before drinking it or using it in food preparation.

Columbus city officials say that Rocky Ford Road has now reopened.

Columbus City Utilities will notify customers once testing is complete and the water is safe again. If you have any questions you can contact the water company at 812-372-8861.

A water main break on Rocky Ford Road in Columbus has led to streets being closed and a boil water advisory.

Columbus city officials say that Columbus police closed Rocky Ford Road between Middle Road and Candlelight Drive last night, as well as Middle Road near Rocky Ford Road after the water main break caused high water across the roadway.

The water main break led to a boil water advisory that is in effect for Columbus City Utilities customers in Candlelight Village and the Cedar Ridge Subdivision. You should bring water to a full boil for three to five minutes before drinking it or using it in food preparation.
