Severe weather possible as storms sweep through state

We could see some severe weather this afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis says that a series of thunderstorms are expected to move across Indiana starting this afternoon and some could turn severe. We can expect scattered storms with damaging winds and large hail. Some of the storms could bring torrential rains and that could lead to flash flooding.

Isolated tornadoes are also possible.

The weather is expected to be in central Indiana from 1 to 7 p.m. and forecasters say we are under a a marginal to slight risk of severe weather today.
