Public info session to be held for Brown County trail improvements
A public information session is coming up later this month for an improvement project at Mountain Tea State Forest in Brown County.
The project aims to enhance safety and accessibility along Pumpkin Ridge Road. That will include improving the roadway condition and driving surface, upgrading drainage features, and providing adequate lane widths.
The Indiana Departments of Transportation and Natural Resources will be holding the session on Thursday, July 16th at Abe Martin Lodge. Those who take part will be able to view displays and talk with the project team to receive the latest updates on the project.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and a presentation that will begin at 6 p.m. The entry fee to Brown County State Park will be waived for those attending the public information meeting.
The contract is currently scheduled to let to contractors in summer 2028.
