Two facing drug charges after Jennings traffic stop

Two people were arrested on drug related charges last week in Jennings County after a deputy noticed a traffic violation.

According to the Jennings County Sherriff’s Department, the incident began at about 1:29 p.m. on Thursday when a deputy pulled a vehicle over. The deputy found 31 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle driven by 50-year-old Jason Cutshall of North Vernon. That led to a search warrant being served at a home on East Buckeye Street in North Vernon.

At the home, a police dog located 34 more grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, syringes, controlled substances, and items associated with the distribution of methamphetamine. Deputies took
58-year-old Lenora Robbins of North Vernon into custody at the home.

Cutshall and Robbins are facing preliminary charges including:

  • Dealing in Methamphetamine

  • Possession of Methamphetamine

  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance

  • Possession of a Syringe

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
