Annual DARE golf outing the celebrate 30 years of local program

This year’s DARE Charity Golf Tournament in Bartholomew County will be coming up next month at Harrison Lake Country Club.

The tournament will be celebrating 30 years of the DARE program in Bartholomew County schools.

According to the Columbus Police Department, the tournament will be August 24 a registration is now open. Among the prizes is $10,000 for a hole-in-one courtesy of Richard Hawes Insurance, a new vehicle from Country Chevrolet with a hole-in-one contest, and free steak dinners for a year from Texas Roadhouse.

A lunch will be catered by Harrison Lake Country Club and an after tournament meal will be provided by Mancino’s Pizza and Grinders.

The deadline to register is Aug. 20th. The cost is $125 per player or $500 per team. There will be a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
