Governor in Columbus Tuesday for innovation center opening
Indiana Gov. Mike Braun is scheduled to be in Columbus tomorrow with Mayor Mary Ferdon, celebrating the grand opening of the Advanced Machine and Vehicle Innovation Center.
The center on South Marr Road will be testing, validating, and deploying next-generation commercial vehicles, machines and power systems. The center is benefiting from over $1 million in funding support commitment from the Columbus Redevelopment Commission and $1M from the South Central Indiana Talent Region. The goal is to foster advanced engineering capabilities and workforce development in Central Indiana.
The grand opening will be from 10 to noon Tuesday at the headquarters including a ribbon cutting and tours of research labs and high-voltage testing equipment.
