Come celebrate with 106.1 The River at the 24th annual Hot Rods and Rock & Roll! This year there will be no concert. In accordance with Indiana Covid-19 “Back-On-Track” guidelines, we are unable to safely host the concert portion of the event. Rick K. & the Allnighters will be back for 2021! Read complete release on event decision.
The free car show runs from 3-7pm!
You’ll be able to purchase the special edition 24th Anniversary Hot Rods and Rock & Roll t-shirt.
106.1 The River will be broadcasting live from downtown during the car show. We invite everyone to join us in beautiful downtown Columbus. We want everyone to be safe this year so the show will look a little different.
- The number of vehicles allowed in the show will not exceed 160.
- Vehicles MUST be registered by 12:30pm in the staging lot across from the county jail on 3rd street.
- Vehicles NOT registered will not be allowed in this year’s show.
- We will NOT have food or drinks for sale. Columbus has a number of wonderful restaurants downtown to visit.
- We recommend you wear a facial covering and to practice social distancing while at the event.
- If you have a fever or are not feeling well, we ask that you leave the event area.
For people putting their vehicles in the show:
If you’re bringing a vehicle to be in the show, first go to the Staging Area in the parking lot across from the jail between 2nd & 3rd Streets. Registration is free and begins at 9am and closes at 12:30pm or when 160 vehicles have been registered, whichever comes first. Vehicles will be directed into the show area by staff, 10 vehicles at a time. Vehicles will be brought up Franklin Street and turn left at 7th Street to enter the show.
Hot Rods and Rock & Roll has permission to use that parking lot beginning at 8am. Remember, this is a free show and we hope everyone has a great time. There will be police on hand as always.
We will get everyone parked in the event in a timely manner and before 3pm. There’s no sitting on the sidewalks.
All vehicle owners are responsible for engine/transmission spills from their vehicle. You are advised to bring materials to clean any spill from your vehicle.
4th Street between Washington and Jackson and Washington and Franklin is designated as the 4th Street dining area. We will NOT be parking motorcycles in this area this year.
When leaving the show with your classic ride, we ask that you exit from Washington at either 3rd Street or 8th Street.
While visiting the car show, check out the wonderful restaurants
and places to eat in downtown Columbus.
