Last year, around one in five people say they either took the day off work after the Super Bowl, or strongly considered it. And overall, almost HALF of people have taken off the day after the Super Bowl at some point.
And even if this year is going to be a little less wild, the question remains: Should the Monday after the Super Bowl be a national holiday so we can ALL be off work to recover?
According to a new study, 40% of people say YES.
It would probably be good for companies to make this kind of a move. A study from a few years back found people are generally much less productive the day after the Super Bowl and it hurts morale to have to come into work.
There are a few alternatives people would be in favor of too: Like moving the Super Bowl to a Saturday, or pushing it back a week so it lines up with President’s Day.
