Purdue Football Honoring Agriculture in Friday Night Big Ten Matchup

In a special Friday night Big Ten matchup, Purdue will play host to the Wisconsin Badgers at Ross-Ade Stadium this week. The Purdue Ag Alumni Association will play host prior to kickoff!

“We have free food and free drinks for all of our ag alumni and friends,” says Danica Kirkpatrick, executive director of the Purdue Ag Alumni Association. “So, we would love people to join us!”

Kirkpatrick says they’re proud to partner with the Purdue Athletics Department for the past several years in featuring Ag Day at Ross-Ade to help spread awareness for the industry and honor all those who work in agriculture.

“You’ve got 60,000 people sitting in that stadium hearing all about the Indiana agriculture industry. They share facts about the industry. They share some of our partners who helped us get that great agricultural work done each year… And so, we’re really excited to be partnering with athletics to do that.”

Kirkpatrick hopes you’ll swing by the tailgate for some free food from Shoup’s Country Foods!

“We’ll do some pork burgers, some chips, and desserts and then Ceres is going to be providing drinks for everybody. Being a Friday night, we’re hoping people will leave work a little early to join us. Kickoff is at 7pm, so we’re planning to be there from 4:30 to 6:30. And the location of this is really simple. If you’re on the north side of the football stadium and you see the large media tower over by the golf course, we are right next to that media tower. So, we are really easy to find.”
