Netflix To Start Cracking Down On Password Sharing Next Year

A Wall Street Journal report says Netflix will start cracking down on password sharing at the beginning of 2023. With Netfilx revenue going down this year, the password sharing problem has become an economic one.

Netflix has already begun testing add-on payments for sharing passwords outside of the household in some Latin American countries. Fees started at $3 per share. The speculation is that the U.S. cost could be near $7 for the ad-supported tier.
