Car show fundraiser to benefit Columbus Police Department intelligence unit

A car show this weekend organized by a high school student will benefit the Columbus Police Department.

According to the police, the Cars for Cops event is being organized by Columbus North senior Jackson Brewer as part of his senior project. proceeds will go toward the cost of surveillance equipment for the CPD intelligence unit.

The show will have no entry fees but will feature food and drinks for purchase along with family friendly activities and music. It is being held from 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday at RLC Truck and Auto Accessories on Progress Drive in Columbus.
