Downtown Greensburg streets closing Saturday for vintage train visit

The city of Greensburg says streets will be closed downtown while the Ohio Rail Experience riders tour the city.

The Ohio Rail Experience based out of Lebanon, Ohio uses historic diesel electric locomotives and vintage rail cars including open window coaches from the 1930s. The trains travel on routes that do not regularly host passenger trains and some have not been used for passenger trains in more than 40 years.

City officials say up to 300 people are expected to arrive by train. The train will be on the tracks from noon to 3 p.m. and railroad crossings at East, Franklin and Broadway streets will be closed. You are encouraged to see the train and visit downtown shops and restaurants during the event.
