Children’s choir festival comes to Columbus Oct. 25th

A children’s choir festival will be happening later this month at the Ridge Church in Columbus, hosted by the Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir.

According to organizers, the free Hoosier Hills Choral Festival concert will be Saturday October 25th and five children’s choirs will perform. In addition to the Columbus choir, the Cincinnati Youth Chorus, the Evansville Children’s Choir, the Indianapolis Children’s Choir Lyric Choirs, and the Shelbyville Middle School Choir will take the stage.

Guest Conductor Ruth Dwyer will also be taking part, she is director of education emerita of the Indianapolis Children’s Choir.

The event does not require tickets, but donations will be accepted. The Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir offers an early childhood program for kids between four and five years old, a preparatory program for first through third graders, and auditioned choir groups for grades three through eight.
