New heat records possible today; severe weather Thursday
Forecasters say that we could break heat records today but also could be in for bad weather tomorrow.
The National Weather Service says that temperatures today could hit 69 in central Indiana, which would break the previous high of 66 set in 2017.
Temperatures in the 60s are also expected Thursday, but that could come with severe weather.
Forecasters say that most of Indiana is at a slight risk for severe storms tomorrow. The possibility exists for hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes. The main concern is damaging winds, especially from Indianapolis to the Ohio River.
