Jury finds Jackson County man guilty of killing his father

A Norman man has been found guilty of murder in the January 2025 death of this father after a jury trial concluded yesterday in Jackson County.

According to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, 29-year-old Robert W.D. Fox was found guilty of the murder of 76-year-old Larry Fox. The son is accused of killing his father on January 30th, 2025. He was arrested in April 2025 after an investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

The jury deliberated about five hours before handing down the verdict. That came after seven days of testimony and evidence presented by Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney Lynsey N. Fleetwood and Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Mark Hollingsworth.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 7th

The prosecutor praised the sheriff’s department for the investigation including Sheriff Rick Meyer, Chief Deputy Dustin Steward, Lieutenant Adam Nicholson, lead Detective Sgt. Jesse Hutchinson, Detective & Crime Scene Investigator JL McElfresh, and Detective Clint Burcham.
