Jennings woman accused of battering children
A Jennings County woman was arrested over the weekend, accused of battering children.
According to the Indiana State Police Versailles Post, the investigation started in august when troopers were contacted by the Indiana Department of Child Services that two children had possibly been battered. Investigators gathered information that 29-year-old Meranda Swim of Commisskey had battered the two children who were younger than 14.
After the evidence was reviewed by the Jennings County Prosecutor’s office a warrant was issued for her arrest on felony charges of battery on a child younger than 14 and neglect of a dependent.
Troopers say that she was arrested without incident over the weekend.
