State Road 252 to see restrictions in Edinburgh starting Monday

State Road 252 in Edinburgh will be closing through early July while crews repair pavement on the state road.

According to INDOT, the work is scheduled to begin Monday on the road between Eisenhower Drive and Pleasant Street. The work is expected to take place through early July, but the work schedule is dependent on the weather.

The official detour will follow U.S. 31 to Interstate 65 and back to State Road 252.

There will also be a closure on Eisenhower Drive starting on Tuesday as crews work to install a water main. That work is expected to last until early April.

The entire project will improve the pavement between Interstate 65 and U.S. 31 and is expected to be complete by early summer of 2028. State Road 252 will close in additional locations throughout the duration of the project.

E&B Paving is the contractor for the project.

INDOT reminds you to slow down, drive without distractions and be extra alert to worker safety in all work zones.
