Arrest made in Greensburg shooting incident

Greensburg authorities have released more information about a Monday morning shooting.

According to the Greensburg Police Department, officers were called to the 1000 block of East North Street in Greensburg on reports of a male being shot. The victim was rushed to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.

The police investigation and evidence at the scene indicated that 22-year-old Gregory D. Trimble of Greencastle came to the victim’s home, where a fight started and led to the victim being shot.

With the assistance of other police agencies, Trimble was found and arrested in Kentucky Thursday morning. He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant there.

Also assisting in the investigation were Greensburg Fire Department, Decatur County medica, Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and the U.S. Marshals Service.
