Early voting ends today; Primary election day Tuesday
Early voting wraps up at noon today, ahead of Tuesday’s primary election.
You can vote early from 8 a.m. to noon today in Bartholomew County at the Gather Columbus Event Space. That is the former Texas Roadhouse location at 2508 25th Street.
On Tuesday, in Bartholomew County you will be able to vote at any of 15 vote centers throughout the county from 6 to 6. New voting center sites this year include Gather Columbus, as well as the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum on Ray Boll Boulevard and Grace Lutheran Church on Central Avenue.

Local government offices will be closed Tuesday for primary election day. In Columbus, trash and recycling routes will still be running on their normal schedule.
The Columbus and Bartholomew County Recycling Center and the offices of the Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District will be closed Tuesday.
The Bartholomew County Landfill will be open its normal hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
In Seymour, the Department of Public Works will also be closed along with the recycling drop off. Recycling, trash and yard waste routes that normally run on Tuesday will instead be collected on Wednesday.
The Indiana Department of Motor Vehicles will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow across the state due to Tuesday’s primary election. The BMV provides free, state-issued ID cards for people to vote to any unlicensed Hoosier who is a U.S. citizen and at least 18 on or before the next general or municipal election.
