North Vernon man arrested in auto parts theft investigation

A North Vernon man is accused of stealing items from a vehicle after a weekend investigation.

According to the North Vernon Police Department, the investigation began on Saturday when officers received information about stolen vehicle parts. The identified 46 year old Joshua L. Hahn as a suspect and found him and his vehicle. Further investigation uncovered methamphetamine and evidence of auto-related offenses.

Hahn was arrested and is facing preliminary charges including:

  • Theft from a Motor Vehicle

  • Theft from a Motor Vehicle (with a prior unrelated conviction)

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)

  • Auto Theft

  • Criminal Conversion

Police say that the case remains under investigation.
