Beyer wins closest Bartholomew primary for council seat

Bartholomew County Council President Leah Beyer held off a primary challenge yesterday in the closet race on the local ballot.
In the race for Bartholomew County Council District 2, Beyer narrowly defeated first time candidate Mark Bense by seven votes in the unofficial vote totals.
Beyer received 50.2 percent of the vote with 868 votes compared to 49.8 percent for Bense with 861 votes.
Beyer talked about the narrow victory.
