Johnson County inmate dies at jail

An investigation is underway after an inmate was found dead at the Johnson County Jail Friday morning.

Corrections officers found 31-year-old Leomeir Kennedy in cardiac arrest at about 9:32 Friday morning. The officers performed CPR, but responding medics pronounced Kennedy dead at the jail. Kennedy was charged in April for child molesting and possession of child pornography for incidents connected to his former employment at Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center.

Sheriff Duane Burgess says that there is no foul play suspected.
