15th annual Stogsdill bass tourney to benefit sheriff’s association

Signups are underway for the 15th annual Sheriff Robert “Buck” Stogsdill open bass fishing tournament to benefit the Indiana Sheriff’s Association and its programs.

The tournament is named after Stogsdill, the former Brown County sheriff who died in 2011.

The tournament will be held this year on May 16th at the Cutright Ramp at Lake Monroe. Takeoff will be at 7 a.m. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 14 teams, to the first place male/female team and the first place adult/youth team. There is also a smallest legal bass award.

The registration fee is $125 per team. There will also be a raffle, food and drinks including coffee and donuts in the morning.

The proceeds will go to benefit the association’s Line of Duty Death Benefit, Youth Leadership Camps and Scholarship Programs.
