5 Bartholomew County Seniors Recognized by the Joseph Hart Chapter of DAR

Five Bartholomew County seniors were recognized by the Joseph Hart chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution with a ceremony on November 20th at the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp administration building. Each local high school can nominate one senior and this year’s representatives were Dakota Carr from Columbus Christian, Isabella Stamper from Columbus East, Nora Kleinhenz from Columbus North, Paige Finke from Signature Academy New Tech, and Kaysie Kistler from Hauser.
Each student received an honorarium check, a DAR Good Citizen certificate, and pin, and a red, white, and blue graduation cord. In addition, the students selected may participate in the optional scholarship part of the program by submitting a personal statement and an essay in a timed, monitored environment with no outside resources. This year’s students were asked to ” describe how the characteristics of a good citizen to help renew and strengthen the democracy achieved by the Patriots of the American Revolution.” Members selected Paige Finke as the 2025 representative for the state level.
