Applications underway for Jackson school supply assistance program
Sign ups are underway for the Rock’n Ready Free School Supplies program in Jackson County.
Organized by the Jackson County United Way, the program provides free school supplies to families in all four of the county’s school districts. Last year the program provided the backpacks full of basic school supplies to more than 1,500 students.
The United Way estimates that each backpack save families $25 to $30 per child and allows families to spend that money on other back-to-school necessities.
Registrations are open through Tuesday, June 30th.
