Area businesses in running for Coolest Thing Made in Indiana

Several area companies are in the running for the 5th annual Coolest Thing Made in Indiana contest organized by the Indiana Chamber and voting is now underway.

The contest celebrates manufacturing of products made here in the Hoosier state . This year’s contest features 49 entrants from 36 communities, each with a single product in the competition. Companies do not need to be headquartered in Indiana, but the product must be manufactured here.

Online voting started Monday and runs through January 15th in a tournament format. The first round ends on Thursday evening.

Among the local companies with products up for voting are

  • Challenge Plastic Products, Inc. / Edinburgh
  • Déjà Vu Art and Fine Craft Show / Columbus
  • Rose Mandolins / Seymour

Last year’s co-winner was Nashville’s Hard Truth Whiskey Co. along with Rising Sun’s Harpsicle Harps.

The winner will be announced at the Indiana Chamber’s Best in Business Awards Luncheon on January 26 at the Indiana Convention Center.
