Bartholomew property tax payments due Nov. 10th

You can soon get a jump on early payments of your fall installment of your Bartholomew County property taxes,

According to Bartholomew County Treasurer Barb Hackman, the next installment is due on November 10th. But several Bartholomew County banks will start taking payments as early as October 10th.

Hackman says that those bank include Centra Credit Union, First Financial Bank, JC Bank, Horizon Bank and German American.

If you are planning to pay your property taxes in person at the treasurer’s office in the county governmental office building on Third Street in Columbus, the office will be open from 8 to 4 p.m. going forward. That is due to a change affecting all non 24-7 government offices hours in the county.

You still have several other options including through the mail to the treasurer’s office or at one of the two 24-hour drop boxes located at the office building. You can also pay by phone by calling 844-278-9126 or you can pay online.
