Bitter cold, extreme wind chills in forecast for rest of the week

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a extreme cold warning that remains in effect until 9 this morning.

Real temperatures remain near zero this morning, with wind chill will make that feel like 20 to 25 degrees below zero.

Forecasters warn that you can get frostbite in as little as 20 minutes with this extreme cold and there is a danger of hypothermia from any prolonged exposure.

A cold weather advisory goes into effect again from 10 p.m. tonight to 11 Wednesday morning. Overnight temperatures are again expected to be at or below zero.
