Bridge demolition to close lanes on Interstate 74

Lanes will be closing on Interstate 74 in Shelby County starting today as a bridge is demolished.

According to INDOT, the left lanes of eastbound and westbound Interstate 74 will be closing from 8 to 6 nightly between Acton Road and London Road around the Pleasant View Road bridge at Exit 101.

Traffic will be detoured using the on and off ramps at Exit 101.

The work is expected to take a week but the work schedule is dependent on the weather.

INDOT reminds you to slow down, to drive without distractions, and to be extra cautious for worker safety in all work zones.
