Centra program helps local non profits with volunteers, donation
Centra Credit Union recently made donations to support three local non profit groups through its Pay it Forward campaign.
According to the credit union, Pay it Forward allows Centra team members to support local non profit groups through mini service projects. In the third quarter of 2025, 154 Team Members volunteered their time, and a total of $10,000 went back into the communities Centra serves. Last year, the Credit Union provided an additional $166,000 to the Centra Foundation. In turn, the foundation is allocating $30,000 across 60 teams in 2025 to “pay it forward”.
The $2,000 in donations in Bartholomew County are going to
- Bartholomew County School Supply Assistance Program
- Columbus North Bulldog Pantry
- Beloved Bags
Director of Community Involvement Jenni Carr said it is “awesome to see our Team Members getting creative and coming up with new ways to support local nonprofits.”
