Conservation officers investigating child’s drowning

Indiana Conservation officers are investigating the death of a juvenile a week after a drowning in Greensburg pond earlier in the month.

According to the officers, the incident began just before 9 p.m. on July 17th when a parent found the juvenile unconscious in a private pond near a dock. The parent began life-saving measures and the victim was transported to University of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for further treatment.

Conservation officers were notified Thursday that the child had died. An autopsy by the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office in Ohio determined the preliminary cause of death to be drowning.
