One seriously injured in Indianapolis Road crash

A 19-year-old man was seriously injured in a crash on Indianapolis Road yesterday.

According to the Columbus Police Department, rescue workers were called to the 1600 block of Indianapolis Road at 11:23 a.m. on reports of an accident with injuries. They arrived to find two vehicles on their sides, an SUV and a truck.

The 19-year-old driver of the SUV appeared to have a head injury and was flown by medical helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.

The 44-year-old driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated and treated.

Police say that the details of the crash are still under investigation . Indianapolis Road was closed for several hours while the investigation was ongoing and crash reconstructionists worked at the scene.
