Drive killed in crash on State Road 135

A Pekin man was killed in a crash yesterday morning on State Road 135.

Indiana State Police say that the Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two vehicle crash at about 9:45 a.m. Monday morning about five miles south of Salem.

They say that a southbound car driven by 65 year old Donald Floyd crossed the centerline into the path of a pickup and the two collided head-on. Floyd was pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington County coroner. The pickup driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital.

The Indiana State Police crash reconstruction team led the investigation.
