Flood warning after heavy rain in Jackson County

A flood warning is in effect in Jackson County this morning, after excessive rain is leading to heavy runoff. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

According to the National Weather Service, up to 2 and a half inches of rain have fallen in the area.

The flood warning is in effect until 8 a.m. this morning. Affected areas include Seymour, Brownstown, Cortland and Vallonia.
