Government offices closed this week for holiday

Local government offices will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in Columbus and Bartholomew County for the New Year’s Day holiday.

In Columbus, there will be no trash or recycling picked up on Thursday. Instead normal Thursday routes will be picked up on Friday and normal Friday routes will be collected on Saturday.

Columbus City Utility offices will be closed. If you have a problem with your water or sewer service, please call 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.

In Seymour, normal Thursday trash and recycling routes will be picked up along with normal Friday routes.
