Hope Heritage Days kick off Friday on Town Square

Hope Heritage Days gets underway Friday afternoon in northeastern Bartholomew County.

The largest outdoor event in the county, in its 57th year, opens Friday afternoon and runs through Sunday afternoon on and around the Hope Town Square.

During Hope Heritage Days there are 100 vendor booths set up around the Town Square and the community’s not-for-profit groups will be selling food on the square itself in what is many group’s largest annual fundraiser. There will be music all weekend, a baking contest, the Dr. Hope Medicine Show, a horseshoe tournament, fireworks Saturday night and the annual parade on Sunday afternoon.

Musical performances on the Town Square will include: Vinyl Escape and Wyatt Massingille starting at 6 p.m. Friday night; the Grace Scott Band, Savanna Leigh and Wade Hayes on Saturday afternoon and evening;  and Cotton Patch and The Creekers on Sunday.

Events begin at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon and last through 5 p.m. Sunday.
