Ivy Tech to offer more help filing for financial aid

Ivy Tech Community College Columbus Campus is encouraging incoming students who need to fill out their financial aid applications to stop by the Airpark Campus on Central Avenue next week.

This school will have several events over the next weeks at its various locations to help Indiana students and families file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The next is Thursday March 19th from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Columbus campus.

The FAFSA is required for students to be considered for financial aid including grants, scholarships, and student loans. It must be filed by April 15 to be eligible for Indiana financial aid. Staff will be on hand to guide students and parents through the process.

Students and their parents or guardians should bring their 2024 completed 1040 tax returns and W-2 forms, plus other income and benefits information from 2024. They will also need Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state ID, their Federal Student Aid ID, bank and investment records and a list of colleges the student is considering including Ivy Tech.
