Jackpots for Generations to return as annual event after inaugural success

A new fundraising event last week brought in more than $30,000 to support Mill Race Center and Advocates for Children.

The organizations are announcing that the Jackpots for Generations fundraiser will become an an annual event after the success of the inaugural effort held last Friday night at The Commons. More than 120 people attended the event.

The event was created as a partnership between the two nonprofit organizations, and was meant to bring together the generations for an evening of entertainment, community connection, and philanthropy.

The funds raised will support the missions of both organizations. Mill Race Center empowers older adults to remain healthy and active and continue to play a vital role in economic development and community life. Advocates for Children provides advocacy for abused and neglected children across Bartholomew, Decatur, and Jennings counties.

Organizers credit the efforts of sponsors, donors and volunteers in the success.
