Lane closures to begin on Interstate 65 starting Monday
Lanes will be closing on Interstate 65 starting on Monday as crews work on a road and bridge rehabilitation project between Seymour and Scottsburg.
According to INDOT, crews will first begin widening work on southbound Interstate 65 ahead of the patching and bridge project. You will see crews closing the left lane of southbound Interstate 65 intermittently, with the southbound widening work continuing for about two weeks.
After the southbound lanes are widened, crews will begin the patching work and the start of road widening in the northbound lanes.
The entire project is expected to be complete in October. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.
Milestone will be the contractors for the $7.9 million project.
INDOT reminds you to slow down, to drive without distractions and to be alert to workers safety in all work zones.
