Man found guilty of child solicitation attempt

A Johnson County jury has found a man guilty after a sting operation into attempted sex with children.

The jury delivered that verdict yesterday to 48-year-old Mark Reyher of Terre Haute. Prosecutors say back in 2023, Reyher drove to Greenwood to meet a detective posing as a 14-year-old for a planned sexual encounter. Reyher was one of 21 individuals who were arrested in the multi-agency child solicitation sting.

Reyher is scheduled to be sentenced on January 9th.
