Mental health program to begin Monday for family, friends
The National Alliance on Mental Illness of South Central Indiana will be offering a free, two month long education program to help families and friends of those with mental health conditions starting next week.
The NAMI Family-to-Family program will start Monday evening, with eight weekly sessions.
The program is meant for those close to adults with conditions such as anxiety, depressive disorders, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Topics will include communication, problem solving, treatment and recovery.
The sessions will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the evenings in the board room at United Way Building in Columbus. That is at 1531 13th St. To register or to request more information you can call or text: (812) 373-6055
