Muscatatuck refuge to host open house Friday, Saturay
The Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge near Seymour will be welcoming visitors to its annual Holiday Open House Friday and Saturday.
Visitors will be able to take a hike along the Refuge trails and likely see sandhill cranes whose annual fall migration is under way. You can also enjoy hot cider, homemade cookies and popcorn.
The Nature Book Store and Gift Shop at the center will be open and have 10 percent off of most merchandise. Proceeds from the Holiday Open House sale help to support programs the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society hosts in the community.
The open house will going on from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days. The refuge is on U.S. 50 east of Seymour.
