Naked man accused of convenience store robbery in Seymour
Seymour police say a naked Indianapolis man robbed a convenience store early Wednesday morning.
According to Seymour Police Department, the incident began at about 3:52 a.m. when the naked man entered a store in the 2100 block of East Tipton Street and went behind the counter. The store clerk locked themself in the office and called for help.
Police arrived to find the man attempting to drink an alcoholic beverage. Officers took the man into custody who appeared to be under the influence. A review of video showed the man taking cigarettes and a lighter, consuming alcohol and breaking alcoholic containers on the floor.
43-year-old Joseph P. Dupree III of Indianapolis was arrested on charges of robbery, theft, criminal mischief, public intoxication and public indecency.
